"IT'S NOT WHAT YOU LOOK AT THAT MATTERS, IT'S WHAT YOU SEE."

- HENRY DAVID THOREAU

As placemakers, we believe that each place is unique with its own story to tell.

#seeyoursg is an invitation to look at the city with fresh eyes.Let's appreciate the charm & character that's everywhere in our city. Let's document the meaningful places that many of us enjoy spending time in with our family and friends. Let's show some love to the unique details that makes our city special.

Join us on a trail or contribute to the hashtag on Instagram, and celebrate the city that we see through our own eyes.

#seeyoursg, Jurong

Beyond historical records and masterplans, there is often another dimension to the stories of that neighbourhood, one that transcends facts and crafted out of perception and imagination – that of myths and urban legends.

Brought to you in collaboration with Singapore lens-based visual artist, Mintio, come join us on a walk around Jurong and see this neighbourhood with new lenses, both literally and figuratively. Through the “viewing & recording device” that each participant will handle, hidden myths and narratives will be revealed to the participants as reality and perception collide along the journey and at each stop of the trail. Participants will also be invited to create and record their own narratives of the neighbourhood - which they can then contribute to the exhibition wall at the end of their trail.

25 November 2017, Free by registration. Trail duration: 75 minutes
